July 19th Update

What's new? What's changed? What's different?

NEW FEATURE - Event Calendar Start Preference & Tooltip Clarification

Any guild can now select how to populate the event calendar - either by having the calendar day populated based on the realm's timezone or by the user's timezone.

For example, say the realm is in the Pacific Timezone (PST, UTC-08, and a member is in the Eastern Timezone (EST, UTC-05, 3 hours ahead of Pacific). Previously the website would populate the calendar based on the user's timezone. So an event that started on Monday at 11:59pm, would appear on Tuesday at 2:59am in the calendar displayed for the user.

Now you can select the calendar to be populated based on the realm's timezone. This would cause the above event to be placed on Monday in the calendar.

In addition, the event tooltip displayed for the sidebar calendar will also display the day name for the time if the day differs between the realm and user. Using the above event as an example, the event's tooltip will be displayed as "Mon 11:59pm (Tues 2:59am)".

This preference is set through the 'Edit Guild Details' page. Look for the link under the Administration page, or by going directly to http://myguild.epicmount.com/admin/edit (obviously replace myguild.epicmount.com with your guild's url name.)

NEW FEATURE - More Petition Log Sorting Options

It is now possible to sort the petition by the petition applied date, and name in addition to just the last response time.

NEW FEATURE - Guild Alliance Rejection

Guilds now have the ability to reject a guild alliance that is not wanted or no longer needed.

When one guild wants to align with another guild, it can do so by creating an alliance. The alliance is only one way, that is the initiating guild can only grant access privileges to the target guilds members, it cannot gain access to the target guild. The target guild, must create an alliance back in order for the initiating guild to gain access to the target guild.

The target guild can now reject the access granted by the initiating guild simply by using the 'Reject' link if the alliance is not mutually. Otherwise, the 'delete' link will be present in the case of a mutual alliance.

NEW FEATURE - Guild Forum Creator Avatar Selection

A guild forum creator may now select an avatar to be displayed as the forum's owner.

NEW FEATURE - Web Page Meta Tag Editing (Premium Guilds)

Premium guilds can now edit the web page meta tags! Meta Tags are bits of information embedded in a web page and used by search engines to help identify and index a web site. Normally, you'll not want to change this, but some guilds may want to add or change the defaults.

Look for the 'Meta Tags' link on the Administration page to change the meta tags, or go directly to http://myguild.epicmount.com/admin/meta (obviously replace myguild.epicmount.com with the url name for your guild.)

More information on meta tags can be found here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meta_tag

NEW FEATURE - CSV Exporting of Guild Points and Character Points (Premium Guilds)

Another feature for premium guilds is being able to export the guild points page (e.x. http://myguild.epicmount.com/points) and the character points page (e.x. http://myguild.epicmount.com/points/mytoon) in the CSV format.

This can be valuable to import the points data into a spreadsheet for more detail analysis of the points awarded.

NEW FEATURE - CSV Exporting of Bank Contents and Prices (all guilds)

It is now possible to get a csv export of the entire guild bank contents and the bank prices. Look for the 'CSV' link on the top right hand side of the bank and price listing pages.

MINOR CHANGES/BUG FIXES

- Changed: TinyMCE (the website's editor) has been upgraded to version 3.1.0.1
- Fixed: when the website mail is forwarded to the user's real email address, the email now has the correct link to view the original mail using the guild's url and not epicmount's.
- Changed: When a user uses Express Registration to join the guild, and already has an outstanding petition, the website will now ignore the petition and allow the user to join. The petition will be noted with a message saying the user joined via express registration.
- Fixed: The file selection window now includes all the current images used by the various EpicMount themes.

A Trouble Ticket can be filed to report a problem, ask a question, or offer a suggestion.
Or you can always email admin@epicmount.com
