Help: EpicMount Addon: Using it.
Updated on 2008/04/05
Any of your characters profiles (name, race, class, level, talents, professions, known recipes, and bag & bank contents) can easily be import/uploaded to EpicMount. During the import, your characters will be created. Or, if your character has already been created at EpicMount either by hand or by using the addon previously, you can keep your character's profile up to date.
As of Version 2.0, your character's progress can be tracked as well. A log will be kept when the character levels up, increases in skill, learns a new recipe, spell or ability. After importing, you can then view this log from the character profile page on the website.
In addition to your character's profile, the character's bank bag may be uploaded as well.
To get the character profile and import/upload it:
When you want to update your character's profile, simply run through the above steps.
You can stop worrying about keeping your character's profile update here by using UniUploader. More information can be found: here
Your guild's roster can be easily import by using the EpicMount Addon. The addon will automatically scan the guild's roster if you are in a guild.
The addon will obtain the following roster information:
While the site will automatically scan The Armory for your guild's currently roster each night, The Armory does not provide information on the rank names, officer note and last seen date. There is where the addon comes in. Also, The Armory does not have character's who level is below 10, and have been inactive.
The addon information will be more to up date, and more complete than The Armory.
The addon can also scan your guild's bank. To do so, simply open up the guild bank, and click on each slot tab. The addon will scan all available slots, and record the various tab's names and icons.

To get the character profile and import/upload it:
- Login to each character you wish to import and/or update.
- Go and play! And changes to your character (leveling up, new talents, equipment change, etc) will be recorded automatically. (Note, older version used to require typing "/epicmount roster" -- this step is not longer needed)
- To include your character's bank bags, simply visit a bank and open the character's bank bags. Each time the bank bags are opened, EpicMount will scan the bags and save the information automatically.
- To include your known recipes, open up your Trade/Crafts windows to allow the addon to scan them.
- Login to the next character you wish to have its profile imported (or updated), and repeat steps 2 and 3.
- Exit the World of Warcraft application when you are done with all your characters
- Login to your EpicMount account, click on your account name in the top right hand corner. A popup window will appear with a "Import" link. Click on that to bring up the Import/Upload Character page. You will be prompted for the EpicMount.lua, and then later presented with a list of characters to import or update.
